2009 Dwyer Stakes and Tom Fool Handicap

Independence Day at Belmont Park had three graded stakes with a fourth on Sunday. Saturday in the Dwyer Stakes (G2) Kensei won with favorite Warrior's Reward third, while Sunday in the 2009 Tom Fool Handicap (G2) Munnings (left) won easily against only three rivals. 2009 Dominion Day and Sweet Briar Too Stakes

Jockey Robert Landry wins #2000

He hit the milestone with his win aboard 12-1 longshot Firetheexecutive in the 9th race at Woodbine on Wednesday. Landry said, "I treated it as though it were any other day. It's really nice to win this. My mindset was, 'When it comes, it comes.' I'm happy I won it for Steve. I've ridden a lot for him in the past. Now that it's over with we'll go out there and try to get some more."
